  The James Joyce was created in 2001 by Gary Regan, cocktail guru and author. The drink is similar to the classic Oriental but made with Irish Whiskey instead of American Rye. Named for the Irish writer known for famous works The Dubliners, Finnegan's Wake, The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, and of course, Ulysses.
