Micil Heritage Pot Still - IWSA Limited Edition

Irish Whiskey Society America is excited to release its 3rd Limited Edition Irish Whiskey. Bottled at 52% abv, this Heritage Pot Still is from Micil Distillery in Co. Galway. 

The virgin chestnut 50L cask was filled on July 7, 2022 as part of the Siolta Mhicil program and emptied on August 25, 2026, yielding 61 numbered bottles. (Read all about the program and special cask here)

The Irish Whiskey is non-chill filtered with no added color. Look at that beautiful, dark, chestnut red color!

The colorful Siolta Mhicil front labels are adorned with the IWSA logo, cask fill date, and bottling date along with Chestnut cask and Heritage Pot Still descriptors.

The historic Galway mash bill contains turfed malt from Micil's family farm in Inverin, Connemara.

 Distilled by Jimín Ó Griallais in their single hybrid copper pot still.

The combination of still type, historic mash bill containing Irish turf, and full maturation in a Spanish Chestnut cask has produced one of the most unique Irish Whiskeys ever.
