2025 Izzys - Award Results

We are happy to announce the results of the 4th annual 2025 Irish Whiskey Society America Awards. The IWSA Awards or Izzys (iW-sA) recognize and celebrate the brands and contributors to Irish Whiskey in the USA.
Sixty-five nominees across thirteen fun categories were voted on over a five week period. You can see all the Nominations here & watch the LIVE Virtual Nomination Event here. The chosen Favorites along with the Legacy Favorite were revealed during a Live Virtual Event on February 1st.

The Izzys as voted by the Irish whiskey community in the USA are listed below.
The Legacy Favorite is awarded each year by the IWSA president to the Irish Whiskey "that had significant impact on history, growth, or popularity of Irish Whiskey industry."
The 2025 Legacy Favorite recipient is Jameson Crested. Originally launched in 1963 as Crested Ten, this blend has the distinction of being the first whiskey bottled directly by Jameson out of the original Bow Street Distillery. Previously, whiskey was sold by cask to bonders who did their own bottling. To commemorate the historic release, Jameson created the name Crested Ten to signify its prominence (ironically the blend was not entirely a 10 year old whiskey). In 2016, it was rebranded as Crested with a new label which retained a Roman numeral X in the background as an ode to the past.
The pot still and grain style blend has a higher sherry component and pot still percentage than regular Jameson. It also was an elusive expression which until recently was limited to Ireland. This was one of the first Irish whiskeys I had the pleasure of drinking when visiting in 2007 (it's a great companion with a pint of Guinness). Read my original review from several years ago here.
When visiting Ireland this is always a nice whiskey to grab in almost any pub. It was also a great and affordable go to purchase from duty free at the airport.
